Do I need to file any paperwork in order to submit estimated tax payments?

It is my first year self-employed. I will be submitting estimated tax payments on the four due dates for 2017. However, I am unclear if I need to submit any paperwork along with these estimated tax payments. I intend to submit payments online via the IRS website; however, there is no information about whether I need to back it up with any submitted paperwork to justify my self-estimates or if I simply wait until the 2017 income tax season to submit the 1040ES for the 2017 year.

You will only submit your 1040ES in 2017.
