No, the initial information page(s) are not to be mailed. Depending on the complexity of your tax return, many pages may be required as part of what is to be mailed. However, when you elect to have your tax return printed out for mailing, what you chose to be printed may include several "worksheets" and other supporting sub-schedules which are not to be attached to your tax return. Each worksheet or schedule will be denoted as "Attach to your return" or simply "Keep for your records."
