Do I file as self-employed or Misc. income? I was a babysitter / nanny for a family over the summer while they were at work.

The work was done in their home and the family claimed the pay on their tax return as Child Care Expense and used my SS#.

I am 19 years old and a full time college student. Total earned was $1,850.00.

If your compensation was not reported on a W-2, you would report it as self employed on Schedule C.
