Do I answer questions about being married with a Yes or No when I am filing as a qualifying widow / MFJ not Single/HOH? ie, were you married at the end of the year?
For tax year 2022 if you do not have any dependents you would select Single. If you do have dependent children then you would select Qualifying Surviving Spouse.

Would you clarify, what year did your spouse die? Do you have qualifying dependents?
