credit card payment for e-file of state return being refused

Is anyone else experiencing the credit card payment refusal from Turbo Tax?  I've been trying to submit returns and keep receiving the "hmmm.  we hit a snag.  try later".   I don't want to pay the $40 transaction fee to have my $20 e-file cost deducted from my refund.    My Turbo Tax deluxe includes one free Federal e-file and I have to pay for the state e-file.

I had the same problem, the payment window did not come up. Was able to redo the process and it worked. Try restarting Turbo Tax and make sure it's updated before trying again. We had a glitch previously this year that told us we couldn't e-file because of a certain Federal form, waited a few days and the glitch was solved.

To update a declined credit card, follow these steps to update your credit card info. Once it's updated, we'll retry your order for the current tax year.

 

  1. Sign in to your Intuit Account.
  2. Under Payment Info, select View.
  3. Select Edit and update your billing and shipping info.
  4. Select Save.
  5. Your info will be updated and your order will be processed.
