College student worked paid summer internship 1099-misc. I was not self employed so which option do i choose?

I wasn't self employed so i'm confused when i choose the option to include my 1099-misc income and it leads me to fill out information regarding the name of my business and its information. I didn't own a business, so where do i go from here?

When you receive a 1099-MISC reporting income in Box 7, it means you were not an employee.  From the IRS' standpoint you were self-employed and were selling your services to the organization where you worked.  The reason you have to use the forms for self-employment is because, if you made over $400, you will now have to pay social security and medicare tax on that income, in addition to income tax.

All the questions give you an easy option, such as you used your own name and address for the company and you did not have an EIN for the company.
