Coinbase wallet import date keeps being delayed. How can I fully report my crypto if this keeps happening?

I added all my transactions from my coinbase account, howeveer turbotax says there's something wrong with my crypto. I assume it's because I sent some crypto to my own wallet... Turbotax supposedly lets me connect my coinbase wallet to their product, but the date it says it's "available" for keeps increasing. It used to be March 10, now it's listed as March 22. How can I properly report my crypto if this keeps happening?

You said "I added all my transactions from my coinbase account".

What is the error message that you are receiving?  If you manually entered the coinbase transactions, are you now able to correct or update those transactions?  Please clarify.

You said "the date it says it's "available" for keeps increasing."

Does TurboTax defer the date that an upload is available?  Or does Coinbase defer the date that an upload is available?  Please clarify.

Does Coinbase generate a .csv file of your 1099-B information?  It may be possible to upload a .csv file by following these steps:

  • Go to Federal / Wages & Income / Your income / Investments and Savings.
  • Click Start / Revisit to the right of Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other.
  • Click Add investments.
  • At the screen Relax.  We got it, click Continue.
  • At the screen Let’s import your tax info, click Enter a different way.
  • At the screen OK, let’s start with one investment type, select Cryptocurrency.  Click Continue.
  • At the screen Select your crypto experience, select Upload.  Click Continue.
  • At the screen What’s the name of the crypto service, select Other and enter the name of the service.  Select Gain/Loss or 1099-B.
  • Click Continue.
  • At the screen Go ahead and upload your crypto CSV file, upload the file.

The .csv should follow this format.

  • All the columns from the .csv file were deleted except for the five columns listed below.
  • All other lines other than the headings and the five columns of data were deleted.

  •    Purchase Date
  •    Date Sold
  •    Proceeds
  •    Cost Basis
  •    Currency Name

.csv file format.

           A                   B              C                  D                   E

purchase date  date sold    proceeds   cost basis   currency name

11/24/2021        2/1/2022    1,779.96     1,916.52         ABFOA

12/7/2021          4/1/2022    1,111.46     1,225.45         ABFOA

11/24/2021        3/1/2022    1,638.54     1,638.54         ABFOA

So to clarify, this is with my coinbase wallet, which is not owned by coinbase. Turbotax actually lists it as an option to pull in my tax information (as well as other wallets such as Metamask). Coinbase is not the one deferring, it's turbotax. The date keeps increasing.

There is also no error, the date for the coinbase wallet import functionality keeps increasing.

Another thing to note is that Coinbase and Coinbase wallet are two seperate things. Coinbase has already released their forms of which I have already uploaded to turbotax. Coinbase wallet is something else.

In addition, if I wanted to fill in my wallets transactions manually it is very unintuitive. I would definitely need help if this is the only option.

I appreciate your explanation of the csv format, that might be able to help me, but I'd rather import directly from coinbase wallet as turbotax says it should be able to do.

You said it is not actually owned by Coinbase. When you view the information, is it on the actual Coinbase website or another website? @sammyalh
