I show amounts in boxes 8 and 11 but this screen only shows boxes 1d and 1e. Can’t figure out how to show other number boxes. Thoughts?
So just fill in boxes 1 with the total from box 10? They’re different descriptions though and I want to be sure 🤔
I don't have a screenshot because I filed already.
Box 10 for the cost, Box 8 for Total
the result will be + for gain or - for loss example
example from my 1099B: 16.31, 6.80 I made gain 9.51
Sorry, box 11 is what I meant. Mine looks the same.
So you filled in box 1 from your box 11?
Turbo tax Box1d <===== 1099-B Box8
Turbo tax Box1e <===== 1099-B Box10
Box11 will show the result.
Just double checking, does entering this as a 1099 gain/loss ensure that the futures trading are tax 60% short-term and 40% long term?
