Child and Dependent care credit

My 4y. o. son lives with me more than half the year, so i'm filing for my son as a dependent on taxes. His father sends me child support every month directly into my bank account. I use the child support payment to pay for daycare expenses monthly. Although this is not part of my earned income, can I put the total paid to daycare when I file my 2021 taxes for child and dependent care credit?

Yes, you can report any expenses you paid for.   And you will qualify for the credit as long as you have earned income (and meet the rest of the qualifications, see here).   You don't have to use your earned income to pay the expense.   You just have to pay them and have earned income.

Yes!!! Make sure you do, because you can get an even bigger refund this year by doing so.
