Change in Other Taxes after installing update

I had almost completed entering my tax info a couple of weeks ago.  I loaded Turbotax today to check something, and there was an update available, so I installed it.  Now when I look at the Five year history, my tax owed in 2024 has jumped by $60,000.  The only change is in the item 'Other Taxes' which has changed from $4,053 to $64,059.  How do I see where this has come from?  How do I see the details?

Could be a lot of things.  Did  you enter any 1099R for pensions or RMD distributions?  The was a major update for 1099R on Feb 20, 2025.  You need to go back through the 1099R entries and revisit all the answers.  The questions have changed so your prior answers won’t be right especially if you answered them with a work around to make them come out right.  I would delete that 1099R and enter it again manually.  That usually fixes it and resets the questions.

Yes, the RMD change was the issue.  It had lost the settings for my RMD.
