Cannot figure out how to update form 8615. I put the wrong number on line 6. Does not seem to have a place to update in turbotax

Line 6 of the 8615 is not a number you enter.  Turbo Tax will pull it directly from your tax return.

• It is line 15 of the 1040 Taxable Income.
• You would have to change your income on the input screens to change the number.

Sorry, but that answer is not correct.  The line 15 on the 1040 comes from the parents tax return not the child's return.  I did finally find the page in TurboTax under "Tax for Certain Children who have unearned income".  The problem with Turbotax is it only found it in the error check and doesn't take you back to the TT webpage to do the Q/A to fix it.

You can find it from the Tax Tools menu on the left. Select Tools. Choose Topic Search and type in 8615. You should be able to click on the form and it will direct you to the area in the software to input your information.
