CANADIAN EQUIVALENT OF IRS FORMS AND VICE/VERSA

I am having trouble finding the U.S./ Canadian equivalents for the final forms:

CRA:

T5008 - NEED USA EQUIVALENT

IRS:

3949-A  - NEED CANADIAN EQUIVALENT

8949 - NEED CANADIAN EQUIVALENT

1099-B - NEED CANADIAN EQUIVALENT

I appreciate any help.

You might want to try posting your question on the TurboTax Canada Community.

CRA:

T5008 - NEED USA EQUIVALENT

 = 1099-B

IRS:

3949-A  - NEED CANADIAN EQUIVALENT  =  There is  No CA equivalent   and why are you even using this form?  https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f3949a.pdf  ... it is not part of the income tax return.

8949 - NEED CANADIAN EQUIVALENT   =  ask in the CA forum

1099-B

- NEED CANADIAN EQUIVALENT

My reasons for using a 3949-A are not applicable for a return, your assumption was wrong.

Second, thank you for the 1099-B recommendation.

I have been on the Canadian turbo tax and there has been no response, typical for Canada. it's always an issue of inexperience, they're  understaffed or nobody is available to help.

I don't know where else to search for the CRA equivalent of an IRS form 8949 ... any recommendations of where to look? Ive been all over google.. all over, no luck.

A1099-A form is informational only and the information on it is used in conjunction with a 1099-C if you get one.

Hello

CRA Schedule 3 is the closest Canadian equivalent to Form 8949, especially as that form is filed along IRS Schedule D. Note that Canada taxes capital gains differently than the United States and does not make a distinction between short and long term gains.  If you also file a Québec tax return, it would be Revenu Québec Schedule G. I cannot speak on other provinces.

For greater certainty see CRA Guide T4037.
