Can you help me understand why the CA FTB calculated my state taxes as $5 less than TurboTax did (when I e-filed)? Today I received a $5 refund (paper check via USPS).

First time ever I've seen a difference between TurboTax's calculation and a FTB follow-up note after accepting my return via e-file. TT app updated with latest release.

CA FTB should send a letter showing the difference in their calculations on your return.

Should? FTB only sent the check on a form page, which contains a note (strangely) encouraging me to e-file, which of course is exactly what I did! Puzzling difference (although no big deal, eh).
