Can you advise me on what software to purchase that includes Federal and two state returns?

I sold my home in Nevada ( income) and receive yearly retirement pension from MI state, I receive Social Security.

What are the two states?  Nevada has no state income tax, so there is no state program for NV.

The two states are Nevada and Michigan.

You do not need any software for NV.  There is no state software for NV.   You need federal and one state.

And....please clarify---you said you receive a pension from MI.  Do you now LIVE in Michigan?   Where do you live?

@maryjorose456 You do not have to file any state return at all then.   WA has no state income tax.  And the fact that your pension checks come from MI does not mean you have to file a MI tax return.   If you did not live in MI in 2023, you do not file a MI tax return.

You *might*  only need to file a federal return.   That return will have your SS and the pension.  But whether you even need to file a federal return is not clear----you have not told us the amounts of your SS and the pension.

You need to file a federal return if half your Social Security plus your other income is $25,000 when filing single or head of household, or $32,000 when filing married filing jointly, $0 if you are filing married filing separately.

Do not try to enter your SSA1099  or RR1099RB as a W-2.  Go to Federal> Wages & Income>>Retirement Plans and Social Security  (SSA1099 and 1099RRB) to enter your SSA1099.

To enter your retirement income, Go to  Federal> Wages and Income>Retirement Plans and Social Security>IRA  401 k) Pension Plan Withdrawals to enter your 1099R.
