Can we list 3 boxes with 50 items valued at 35.00 as an example instead of listing each item?

We donated a lot of items to Savers, Goodwill etc.  We have it items listed on a sheet of paper but with the amount of items we donated it would take a lot of time.  Can we list under add items 3 boxes with 50 items valued at $35.00?

Yes. Only the date, general description (e.g. "box of clothes") and value go on the IRS form 8283.

Just keep the longer paper list, and Goodwill receipt,  if you need it for an audit (unlikely).
