Can Turbo Tax 2022 fix this? There was an issue with "Box 14" for NJ where it would not allow values over 214 for SDI and unable to e-file Federal.

Did you mean "DI"? Please see this NJ webpage, where the max for UI/WF/SWF is $169.15; the max for DI is $212.66; and the max for FLI is $212.66.

Thank you Bill, Yes, it is DI tax for NJ, but I think won't be able to get a revised w2 from my employer. Currently it is showing as 268$ in my w2 and I am not able to file this via turbotax because for the limit.

If you have excess State Disability Insurance from one job, your employer made a payroll mistake. Contact work for a refund.

New Jersey will only give you a refund on Form NJ-2450 if you have excess disability insurance from multiple employers.

This is not a TurboTax issue. This is New Jersey law.

You can e-file by changing your Box 14s so they show no more than the max contribution amounts, which esteemed Tax Expert BillM223 said was $169.15 for UI/WF/SWF, $212.66 for DI and $212.66 for FLI.

Similarly, It also happened to me, I have two employers, I was deducted $120 and $381= $501.

Subtract it with $169 (maximum threshold for NJ UI/WF/SWF) , I should be getting $332  refund.

The software generates a from NJ 2450, before the end as the software is reviewing the entries, you get flagged and it says that amount should not exceed the threshold, I tried ignoring, but can't continue.

It accepted the $120 for 1st employer but not the $381 (for it is over $169.) I put in the max w/c is only $169  but got a refund only $120. I can't recover $212.

If I keep the $381 and change classification of the tax deductions my tax due increases big time.

I called TT and posted here in the community , can't get a good answer. Hoping TT will look in deeper on their software program or somehow clarify if there is a rule for that prompt that only max. of $169.15 in each employer column is allowed as it generates NJ2450 form.
