Can taxpreparer use turbo tax to file tax return for their clients?

No. TurboTax is for personal, not professional use.

If you are filing for clients, you cannot use TurboTax.  You must use one of Intuit's products for tax professionals. See  http://accountants.intuit.com/. Click under Tax Solutions.

That is not right.

 

While you cannot use Turbotax for paid preparation, you are under zero obligation to pay for Intuit's pro series of tax prep software.   You are free to use any professional tax software.

 

The comment that you have to must be removed as Intuit would be violating antitrust law to state you must.

Well obviously the answer means if you want to use Turbo Tax.........

True but having someone write that you must use their professional series software is enough to get them fined.

You also need to be careful.

 

A paid preparer has to be paid to use their PTIN on someone else's taxes. 

 

Another issue is that TurboTax has free Federal filing while ProSeries we all have furnish our own E-filing pin.  I bring this up because Intuit does not advertise this fact.
