Can't start NC state return on my Deluxe Turbo Tax on windows desktop

I purchased the Deluxe Turbo Tax 2024 which included federal/state tax filing.  The federal part is working fine but when I try to start up State return then it gets stuck in a loop:

- Download dialog

- Asked me to save the current return

- It states that it is "getting state software"

- Notify me that "Your software is up to date"

Whenever I select the "start" state return then it goes through the loop again.

1. Does the state tax software download any package? I don't see any new files in the download folder.   I can only see the file "Windows_PC_TurboTax_Download.exe" which I used to install TurboTax

2. What is the fix? I already uninstall and re-install TurboTax twice

If you're using TurboTax Desktop, you may experience an issue where your state is already downloaded but not showing as installed.  When you try to download your state, you get a message that Your software is up to date with the state product never installing and you're caught in a loop. You could also be prompted to update prior to e-filing and getting a message that says You're up to date.

Running the TTCleanState.exe then restart TurboTax works.  Thanks so much for your quick response.
