Can’t remove an investment income entry

In desktop TT for the Mac, under investment income I have some entries I need to delete. But when I click the garbage can icon, the whole  investment income panel gets overlaid in translucent gray and becomes inert. I’ve tried the suggestions offered by the help bot (forms mode and restarting the program) but they don’t help. Surely there’s a workaround?!

When you click on the trash can button to delete an item of investment income, the screen does become gray, but there is also a follow up question box on top of it stating "Are you sure you want to delete this form?" and with Yes and No buttons. See screenshot below:

If you aren't seeing the pop-up screen, you may need to adjust the size/resolution of your screen.

Another expert recommended the following to adjust font/text size:

How to Increase the Text Size on Your Mac

  1. Click the Apple icon in the top left corner.
  2. Select System Preferences.
  3. Select Displays.
  4. Click Scaled.
  5. Select a lower/higher resolution. If you see icons with different sized previews of text, select the icon that says Larger Text and click OK.

Another description of the fix to adjust the resolution on your screen, appears on this Apple Support page:

On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Displays in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) Select the display you want to adjust, then select the resolution you want to use. You may be able to turn on “Show all resolutions” to see additional resolutions for the display.

Depending on how you adjust the resolution, some app windows may not fit entirely on the screen. Using a scaled resolution may affect performance.

In the alternative, you could hook up a separate monitor to your Mac with a larger display area.

You could also choose to delete the item in Forms Mode. Choose Forms from the top screen menu and locate the form that has the item you want to delete. You can delete a form or remove the entry from the form.

Thanks very much! That popup did the trick.

But it wasn’t necessary to change any settings; once I realized there was such a popup lurking somewhere I tried just scrolling to the top of the grayed-out investment income panel and there it was. I have to say, Intuit's programmers should have placed that popup right over the wastebasket icon I clicked; failing to do so is really subpar.

But at least TT's customer support people know what they’re doing!😀
