Can't Import a Second Account from Fidelity

I am importing data from Fidelity. Both my wife and I have accounts. After I go through the import process for my account, when I try to import my wife's account data, Turbo Tax will automatically reconnect to my account and does not give me an opportunity to enter my wife's log in  credentials so that her data can be imported.

I am using Turbo Tax Premier 2022 desktop (DVD) on a Mac.

I found this information posted 4/5/2021 by  user JLTTL, and this solved the issue I just posted:

Multiple Brokerage Accounts
If you have a single broker for multiple accounts, when the selecting to add another account for the same broker: Clear cookies and then search for your broker via the search bar rather than clicking the broker icon. This should allow the screen to input account information and import the data.

This use to be so much easier when you could enter your login info in Turbo Tax. 😕

I agree. Turbotax is regressing and getting worse every year. I know they're trying to be helpful but he software writers just arent keeping up.  In the past I could import my bank interest, but this year it no longer works, and I'm talking one of the largest banks in the US.  Very disappointing.

This is bad but might be helpful.  I accessed Fidelity website in another tab on same computer and it was logged in to my account.  After logging out in the new tab TurboTax allowed me to download the second account.  When I opened Fidelity website again it was logged in to the new account.  This seems like a security issue.

Yes that could work, however many of us want to keep our cookies and not have to go through the tedious process to reestablish login information and preferences.  Requiring users to delete cookies in order to input their investment data is more inconvenient than manually entering the investment data, both tedious and not an indication of a professional program.  This programming flaw is not acceptable.

Had this same problem last year and can't imagine it's a rare scenario. Pretty underwhelming that Intuit hasn't addressed this issue.

All the discussion about clearing cookies and security holes is incorrect … TurboTax is simply using the browser to interface with the financial institution …

If you want to import from multiple accounts, simply login to the account you want to import from using the browser (I.e. login to Fidelity with account #1) and then choose to import via TurboTax … since you’re already logged in the import will happen for account #1 … when that completes, logout of account #1 and then login to account #2 and choose to import via TurboTax … you can do that with as many accounts as you’d like 👍🏻

Make sure you are logged out of your fidelity account.  Check the other tabs/windows, or just open another window and go to fidelity.com and make sure you are logged out.  Then in TurboTax it will open login window to import your wife's account forms.

The bad news is not your browser is logged into your wife's account in that browser.  So remember to log out of her account at fidelity.com when you are done importing.
