Can't import 1099 from Ameriprise

I've been trying to import from Ameriprise, and keep getting 'Signon information provided has failed authentication.'  I called Ameriprise and they believe all is good on their end.  They mentioned that they thought TurboTax would lock you out after too many failed attempts.  Is this true, and if so how can I get this unlocked?  I'm using the downloaded Premier version of TurboTax.  Thanks!

If you have been locked out of your TurboTax Account, try these steps to recover your User ID or password:

  1. Go to our account recovery page.
  2. Enter one of the following:
    • Phone number (recommended)
    • Email address
    • User ID
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Once you’re done, we’ll either send you a code to help you recover your account, or show/send you a list of accounts associated with your info.

  • If you’re still unable to recover your account, select Try something else on the Account Recovery page. We’ll ask additional questions to verify your identity.

I had the same issue and was able to resolve by closing TurboTax and trying again. I believe I was locked out after entering in an incorrect package ID/document ID, but the error message was not clear in telling that.
