Can't find where to fill my HSA tax in Turbotax premier

Hello,

I am using Turbotax premier windows desktop version.

I can't find where to fill my HSA. I received a 5498-SA. it says it can be used to fill 8889. But there is no 8889 in the Turbotax premier.

TurboTax generates the 8889 from the data that you give it.

However, the 5498-SA is an informational form, which you do not have to enter into TurboTax. Just put the 5498-SA into your tax files.

To go through the HSA interview in TurboTax, do a Search (upper right) for hsa (lower case) and click on the jump-to link. Just type hsa and hit Enter - ignore all the suggested search terms. Mac users need to find HSA in the Topics List.

Follow through the HSA interview.

If you're using Forms mode instead of step-by-step, look for Form 8889-T. This form has a taxpayer and spouse copy, so TurboTax lists them as 8889-T and 8889-S.

You can enter your HSA contributions in the Deductions and Credits section of TurboTax. Look for Medical and then 1099-SA, HSA, MSA. Work through that section and you will see a screen that says Let's enter your HSA contributions and you will see your employer's contributions listed (If any from your W-2 form entry) and then you will have an opportunity to enter your own contributions.
