Can't efile state tax return, doesn't give me the option only to print but when i do it it says "new york state requires income tax return to be filed electronically".

federal tax return was e-field just fine but now i have this issue with the state return. i don't have the option to e-file it won't even say why, but on the printed form it says i can't mail it so i don't know what to do. also if i mail it do i attach the federal as well?

The E-file Mandate for NY is for professional tax preparers. You can print and mail in your NY State return along with a copy of your Federal return.
