Can someone please help?

Under wages and income, I have somehow entered two amounts in the Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 1099-C section. When I click Add/Edit to delete them, it never gives me any options to remove them. The AI is useless, the phone call back option is useless and I can not call an 800 number where I am.

Under Less Common Income and Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 1099-C, there are a number of paths that you may take to report taxable income.

When you select Add / Edit, you have to find the correct path to remove the previously reported income.

You may be able to locate the income by finding how the income is reported on the IRS form 1040.  In this example, I see that income is reported on line 1g as Wages from Form 8919, line 6.

Now I am able to remove the form by using the Delete a form function.  In TurboTax Online, follow these steps:

  • Down the left side of the screen, click on Tax Home.
  • Click on the down arrow to the right of Review.
  • Click on the blue band labeled Review.
  • Down the left side of the screen, click on Tax Tools.
  • Click on Tools.
  • Click on Delete a form.
  • Find the form listed and click Delete to the right.
