Can one add Explanation Worksheets within Turbotax?

In TurboTax can I add explanation worksheet on my own to explain certain expenses or deduction?

Example

From 1116 (foreign Tax Credit). I only entered Tax paid but software automatically fill in deduction of itemized/standard deduction and then software will pop open explanation sheet. Now I have to fill in that Explanation  worksheet that deduction is standard/itemized deduction ( Sch A). I have only seen explanation worksheets with form 1116 and again it was opened by software.

I am using this example and my question is NOT related to form 1116. It is general question. Lets say if there is some thing which is tricky so is there a way to enter/attach explanation worksheet on my own? If yes how?

I will filing online so not sure what happens to these explanation worksheets once you file electronically. Do they send over to IRS along with your return?

You can’t but even if you sent them, for example, by mail they would probably be ignored by the IRS.

TurboTax provides for entering an explanation where it is required by IRS rules. The IRS does not want explanations that are not required by the rules. The IRS instructions for Form 1040 say "Don't attach correspondence or other items unless required to do so." If the IRS has a question about your tax return or wants more information, they will send you a letter asking for it.
