Looking for the right software and the most simple solution. Our llc has almost no expenses or assets, no employees etc.
A Husband and Wife partnership may be reported on your personal return with individual Schedule C's but only if it is not an llc. An llc must be reported as a partnership on Form 1065, and that income would flow through to the original return. There is an exception to that rule: A husband and wife llc can still avoid filing a partnership return if they live in a community property state.

To file the Form 1065 return for a partnership (if you do not live in a community property state) you need TurboTax Business, which is different from TurboTax Home & Business. TurboTax Business is not available as an online service. It's only available as CD or download software that you install on your Windows computer. You cannot use TurboTax Business for your personal Form 1040 tax return. You need one of the personal versions for that, but if you are not going to be filing Schedule C you do not need TurboTax Self-Employed. To be able to enter the Schedule K-1 from the partnership in your personal return you can use TurboTax Online Premier or any personal edition of the CD/download TurboTax software.
