Can I use TurboTax to start a 2024 Federal and State Tax estimate forecast now (November 2024)? If so, how do I do that?

You can use the TurboTax calculator TaxCaster to get an estimate of taxes owed or a tax refund.  It is currently for tax year 2023 but it still will give a close estimate for tax year 2024 - https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/calculators/taxcaster/

 

TurboTax does not have a State tax estimator.  Those may be available on a state website.

Online software for 2024 is not yet available for you to use.  That will happen sometime in early December.  Meanwhile, you can use the estimating tools.  Or if you have a computer that supports the desktop software, the desktop download for 2024 is already available, although it will still require a lot of updates.
