Can i use the 1040ez form to file a joint return with my husbands w2 and my 1099?

No, Form 1040-EZ cannot be used to report income included on a Form 1099, unless the 1099 is reporting Social Security income (SSA-1099) or interest income (1099-INT).

What kind of 1099?  There are a lot of kinds of 1099's.

Yes you can enter a SSA1099 using the Free Edition. Go to Federal> Wages & Income>>Retirement Plans and Social Security to enter your SSA1099
