can I use my 2023 tax return from turbotax desktop to get a head start on 2024 taxes

yes by starting your 2024 return and agreeing to transfer the data from your 2023 return. you must be in the same Turbotax account that you used in 2023

Did you use the desktop product in 2023 to prepare your return?   What are you planning to use for 2024?

 

Do you have the *.tax2023 data file from last year's return on your computer?    If so, we can tell you how to transfer that file into either the 2024 desktop product or online TurboTax, whichever is applicable for your plan of preparation.
