Can I use an employee address that’s different from what my W-2 has

Why do you want to do that?  The W-2 you have is the one reported to the IRS by the employer.  Many companies and businesses are owned by "parent" companies or larger companies that do not have the same address as the location where you work.  

for the w-2 use the employee address as shown.  you can use a different address for your 1040.
