I assume that you printed and mailed form W-7 and your tax return. Did you try to e-file your state tax return? You won’t be able to file your state return until the IRS issues the ITIN. Then, you will go back into TurboTax, add the ITIN, print your state tax return and mail it. You can’t e-file your state tax return in this situation, and your state return will probably be late. If you will owe state income tax, make a payment before the deadline at your states tax website. If your state assesses a penalty, you can probably have it waived for a cause.
sorry to say this but if you claimed your daughter as a dependent on the federal return it should have been rejected due to the lack of either her SSN or ITIN. I would have thought TT would have block submission without that crucial number. even a paper filing will result in an adjustment if you claim a dependent but do not provide their ID number.
I didn't explain that I have just started the process with IRS to get ITIN, I filled today w7 + federal tax return, but it was a surprise for me that they told me your state tax return is not received in this office, so now I do not what to do. I will call the number they gave me, but thought if turbotax could give me an answer. Thanks.

So at the end, in my case as DC state, what I did is filed and extension online, it was pretty easy. Just go to https://mytax.dc.gov/ search for Forms > I want to... > Submit an Extension, fill the data and click send!
I will wait for the ITIN number to file the return. Thanks for your help!
