Can I model different Roth IRA conversion scenarios in TurboTax online?

If someone knows a convenient way of doing that, please let me know. Or is that something that's only possible if I download the software? Many thanks.

The Desktop program would be best.  For Online you can make another account to test in.   You don’t have to pay for it unless you want to print it out.

Thank you for your answer. Do I have to create a different account for each different Roth conversion I want to model? If so, could I import my information into each account, or would I have to start from the beginning each time? And is the desktop version downloadable or do I have to purchase a disk?

For Online you could use 1 account but it only saves the last one.   What info would you import?

The Desktop program is only sold as a download.   It can do unlimited returns so you can do test returns.   You can save a return with another name to test in.  It also has a What-If worksheet and you can enter directly into the forms.  And many other features and advantages over the Online version.

You can buy the Desktop CD/Download program here,

Unfortunately my operating system is too old to support the downloadable version. The info that I was asking about importing was everything I have to enter prior to reaching the section about IRA distributions. If I use only one account, can I enter a distribution amount, finish the return, see the result, and then go back and enter a different amount if I want? I could use screenshots to save the results each time. Do you think that would work?

Yes that should work.  Then do your real tax return in a new account or last year’s account if you have one.

I will try it. Thank you for your help.
