Can I make a store purchase using credit instead of debit using my turbo card?

No, you can only use it everywhere Visa Debit is accepted in the U.S.

The TurboCard can be used anywhere Visa Debit is accepted.  You can select the credit option at check out but it still comes out of your bank account.  It is not a credit card.  Here is some discussion on the topic.
