Can I file my taxes electronically from Mexico?

Well I am so jealous ! I don't see why it would matter where you are uploading files from.  I travel worldwide and conduct all my business online. Doesn't matter where I am as long as I have a good internet connection.

Yes, you can file federal (IRS) returns if you or your employer has a non-U.S. address. However, there are some restrictions regarding foreign-address returns. Please see below for more information:

Good info. However , this question was specifically about e-file.

 

Can you please confirm for this discussion: 

If you are on vacation in Mexico or on a business trip to Dubai , you can file electronically from your computer from San Miguel de Allende or wherever you are if you are using your US residence address on your returns.

Yes, you can e-file from anywhere as long as you are securely connected to the internet and sign in to your account or return.  Keep in mind that the IRS will not start processing returns until the 12th.  @MOma42
