"New spouse"? Did you marry again?

there's an issue that you will have to clarify. if you are legally separated you are still deemed married so unless something else took place. I don't see how you can be legally married to your second spouse

Were you divorced in 2023?   When did you marry the new spouse?   If you got married in 2023 and filing MFS then you would  use the ssn of the new spouse.   But Joint is the best way to file.

You will need to explain.....you cannot be married but separated from a spouse and have a "new spouse" too. So---who are you legally married to? Are you legally married and do you have a new BF or GF? Or did you divorce and marry someone else? Do not refer to a girlfriend or boyfriend as a spouse. If you are not legally married to them, they are not your spouse on an income tax return.
