Can I file head of household if I'm married but my wife didn't work

No, you won't. When you're legally married, the IRS requires you to file as either married filing jointly or married filing separately. If you choose to file as married filing jointly, then you will get credit for wife's exemption amount. Please view the Turbo Tax FAQ below for more information about filing statuses.
