Can I file for multiple people using the Premier level Turbo Tax. Can I do it online? Will all the filings show up under one online account?

No.  The online program is one return per account.  So, if you have multiple filings to do, then you HAVE to create a separate online account for each filing and each account would be a separate charge (unless can use free edition).

If you have multiple returns to do, then you should look into the desktop program.  You can purchase online as a download (or have CD shipped) at the link below.  You can also find it in most retail stores.

With this program, you can prepare as many returns as you like, but you are limited to 5 electronic files.  The pricing structure is a bit different - when you buy the software, federal preparation and e-filing is included (up to 5, you can print and mail after that) and one state program is included for preparation, but you pay separately to e-file state returns (you can print and mail for free).  So, if everyone lives in same state, then you would only need to pay for any state e-files.  If there are multiple states, then you would have to buy any additional states.

Overall, if you have multiple returns to prepare, then the desktop program can save you money.  But, there will be no online access.  Everything is stored on your local computer only.  So, you will need to make sure you make backup copies of everything.

Then you can have your software back and I want my money returned.  Shame on you for substituting a single use product for a multiple use product without notifying your repeat customer.

I have used TurboTax every year and have always been able to do both my return and my father’s return.  To make such a dramatic change in the product without alerting repeat customers is both “bait and switch” and shows a really noxious attitude to your repeat customers.  As a long time user of several Intuit products, I’m disgusted.
