If all of your foreign earned income is being excluded from taxation then the tax return cannot be e-filed without any taxable income being entered.  It has to be printed and mailed.

To e-file your return you need to enter some taxable income.  Enter $1 of of interest income.

On the Form 1099-INT enter any name for Received from: and enter $1 in box 1 of the form.

To report interest income received -

  • Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home & Business)
  • Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home & Business)
  • Click on I'll choose what I work on
  • Under Interest and Dividends
  • On Interest on 1099-INT, click on the start or update button

Or enter interest income in the Search box locate in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to interest income
