Can I file an extension again after I’ve already done for the same one? If not then what do I do?

I had to file an extension earlier because my taxes or something is definitely wrong. I’m not getting the amount I would normally get and I made more but my taxes said I made about the same I made in 2017.

No, you cannot request an extension at this time.   The deadline to request an extension for a 2020 tax return was May 17, 2021.  There are no more extensions for a 2020 return.

If you are getting a refund there is no penalty for filing after the October 15 deadline.  You have three years to file if you are getting a refund or do not owe.   But after October 15 you will not be able to e-file.  E-filing will shut down and then your tax return will have to be printed, signed and mailed instead.

If you owe tax due and miss the October 15 deadline then you are late and may be subject to interest and penalties for late filing.

we can't see your return. if you believe that there is an error in the return and can not resolve the issue perhaps you should consult with a pro. if you owe and don't file by 11:59:59 on 10/15/2021 you will be subject to penalties. if you are due a refund, no penalties if you file late.
