Can I file a Federal Short form if I have a W2G to claim winnings at casino? I won $1550.00 jackpot and have no losses to claim.

I usually end up filing taking the standard deduction each year.

There is no short form tax return is no longer available since 2018. You just file the regular form 1040.

Form W-2G is used to report gambling winnings and Federal income tax withheld on those winnings.

Please follow the instructions in this TurboTax Help article on how to enter a form W-2G.
