Can I file 2020 return based on a 2019 amendment I just submitted a few days ago?

I'm about to file my 2020 return, and I have a mistake in my 2019 return that I'm amending right now, which would affect my 2020 return once the mistake is fixed.

My question is, can I file my 2020 tax return using the correct 2019 numbers, although the 2019 amendment is pending? Or do I have to use the existing number on my 2019 return (which is wrong) for my 2020 return, then amend my 2020 return when my 2019 amendment is approved?

Thank you very much!

If the amended 2019 return will affect your 2020 return, you should wait until the 2019 amendment is approved before filing for 2020.

Considering the current delays in processing ALL returns (current & prior year, original and amendments), you should request an extension for the 2020 return and wait until the 2019 amendment is processed. This may not happen until late summer or early fall.

How do I file an IRS extension (Form 4868) in TurboTax Online?

If this will cause a financial hardship (2020 refund delayed?), then you can "use the existing number on your 2019 return (which is wrong) for your 2020 return, then amend your  2020 return when the 2019 amendment is approved."
