Can I enter business expenses without upgrading to TurboTax Self-Employed?

No - if you are using the Online version of TurboTax, you will have to upgrade to the Self-Employed version to enter your business expenses.

Yes - If you are using the CD/Download version of TurboTax Premier, you will be able to enter the expenses.

You have the option of using the CD/Download version.

No, and you are required to claim all of your business expenses.

Definitely should have a manual override to enter expenses for a basic business without requiring the user to purchase an additional TurboTax product.  CLASSIC Bait-and-switch

Again, the products are out there with the descriptions of what you can and cannot do in each of them.  Just because you want to do something different is no reason to criticize the product.

THis is a bait-and-switch tactic, and Intuit should be prosecuted for unfair and deceptive practices.  I will consider contacting the Federal Trade Commission.
