Turbotax premier does not provide irs form 709, and therefore if IRS form 709 is needed, it will not be included in my e-file. So the 709 form will have to be filled out manually and included with a paper filing.
Your statement is correct, except for one thing.
You can e-file your tax return using TurboTax since a gift received or given is not reported on a tax return.
The Form 709 is totally separate from a tax return.
Form 709 is not part of your income tax return, and you do not file it with your income tax return. The Form 1040 tax return that you file with TurboTax is for income tax. Form 709 is a completely separate tax return for gift tax, not income tax. The Form 1040 income tax return and the Form 709 gift tax return are completely separate, and have to be filed separately.
You can e-file your Form 1040 income tax return and file your Form 709 gift tax return on paper. One has nothing to do with the other.
There is no version of TurboTax that includes Form 709.
