Can I e-file my Federal return even though Box 15 only has 5 digits? T

Box 15 only has 5 digits. It is a correct State ID. How can I e-file Federal since the system keeps stopping me when I don't have at least 6 digits in box 15?

Yes, if box 15, State Employer ID, is blank or to short on your W-2, you can add a 0 in front of the number or leave the field blank.  Your state department of revenue will be able to easily identify your employer from their 9-digit federal EIN.
