Can I deduct interest on a British student loan for a green card holder?

My husband is British but a US green card holder. He has a UK student loan from his undergraduate degree at the University of Nottingham that he pays monthly. Is the interest on this student loan deductible on our taxes?

Given that it is a UK student loan, we do not have a 1098-E tax form.

Only if the school meets these requirements.

The institution must be eligible to
participate in a student aid program administered by the
U.S. Department of Education. Virtually all accredited
postsecondary institutions meet this definition.

An eligible educational institution also includes certain
educational institutions located outside the United States
that are eligible to participate in the U.S. Department of
Education's Federal Student Aid (FSA) programs
