Can I claim non relative as dependent without social security number?

I don't have social security # but I supported all of last year. Am I allowed to claim him?

not without an SSN

also (s)he must have lived with you the entire year. temporary absences are ignored

their gross income must be less than $5050

Thank you for the info! He only worked 1 week the entire year. Would my refund increase significantly if I were able to get his SS and claim him?

If you qualify to claim him as a dependent, you will get the Other dependent credit of $500, and your refund will increase by $500.
