If you have not yet filed your tax return, please follow the steps below to change the scheduled payment:
- Sign back into your Online return, click the orange button that says "Take me to my return".
- Next go to the File tab at the top (see screenshot) and go through the File section until you see the option to edit the payment information.
If you have already submitted your tax return, you are unable to make any changes in the TurboTax program however, you can still contact the IRS to cancel your existing scheduled payment and make other payment arrangements. Please contact IRS E-file payment services 24/7 at (888) 353-4537 for assistance.
Note: The IRS advises that you wait 7-10 days after your return was accepted before calling to give the system time to reflect your information.
