A client of mine is serving as a pastor in a church and his W-2 has no Social Security or Medicare tax withheld. However, his W-2 Does NOT have the box 13 statutory employee checked. Does that mean he cannot claim self-employment expenses deduction in Sch-C?
Does it make sense that box 13 isn't checked for a pastor position?
