California 1099G form question

Turbotax wants the info for boxes 10a, 10b, and 11, but those boxes don't appear on my form? It only shows boxes 1-4. Not sure what to do. Do I just leave it blank?

Yes, leave the boxes blank. However, if TurboTax requires entries, Box 10a State is CA, Box 10b State identification, just enter the Payer's TIN and Box 11 State income tax withheld, enter $0.

If the 1099-G is for unemployment:

  • On you federal return, for tax year 2020, as part of the recently passed American Rescue Plan, the first $10,200 worth of unemployment payments are now tax-free for households with annual incomes less than $150,000. This expanded tax relief begins this year, starting for taxpayers filing returns after January 1, 2020.
  • California does not tax unemployment compensation.
