C'mon, guys, how stupid are you? You've charged my debit card, but your site won't let me file because it says it "can't authorize" the card. Credit Union shows charge!

This seems to be your problem area every damn year!

Hi! Just came across your question/issue. I've actually worked at a bank, a credit union and several brokerage firms. I believe the issue is your credit union accepting the charge and not paying it. It's actually the credit union, not turbo tax. They show it as approved, but usually the credit union requires your personal, voiced approval of the charge. I know, what a pain. I asked the credit union I worked for how it even makes sense, and they explained that "if it's a legitimate charge, the customer will call and explain and we can then approve it". So, pain in the butt for you, and the credit union is only covering their own behind. I quit the credit union because they were absolutely NOT out to help people, they seemed to cause more problems. At least, with credit cards and debit cards. I hope this helps... credit unions are not all the same, so this may not apply to your CU and issue. Try giving your CU customer service a call and ask them to approve it, since it's showing on your account already.

Thanks for nothing - you just parroted back the party line, same as my goddam credit union.

You're absolutely welcome! Try figuring this out for yourself, you ungrateful pos.

If I parroted, then just MAYBE you should try following the advice, or you can freak out and insult others who try to help you when you ASKED for help. Glad I wasted MY time.
